I know that this is more a history questions than a science question but what does today mean to you? Today the United States has its first Black President.

miss hix, i dont feel comfortable commenting on this blog. i actually think that this is a rather racial question! it doesnt matter if its history or biology! so i prefer just leaving it at that & not participating any more in your racial accuzizations!!!

it really shouldnt mean anything hix we have been tought to be tollerant to the opposite race and act like they are no different then us have we not? if thats the case he is just another president that will go down in history as a failure because of our present situatation... Um besides that i dont have much to say because if we are 100% tolerant to different races this shouldnt be a big deal and i really hope everyone voted for him for the right reasons not just because of the color of skin

To Brady, you must be racist if you think that this is a racisist comment, i dont see whats wrong with this question. All that shes asking is what do u think about a new president. And next time, use spell check. ...............Anyways i think that it isnt that big of a deal. Yeah it matters that we have a new president but not that hes black. Race isnt a big deal for me, so ya thats what i think.

Well i think that this should not be for a science blog, but for a history blog. But i really dont think htat it matters all that much. I dont really think of it as different. Its not really a big deal to me that hes black.

I dont think it matters. It shouldnt matter what color a persons skin is and what job they have. So what if hes black. Why does it matter? I dont think its going to be different. People shouldntve voted for him just because of the color of his skin. Its just a new president. Who cares?!

I don't really care that much. Like its not a big deal to me that he is black. I don't think that it should matter if his skin color is different. Its just important because we now have a different president.

Today means that we have a new president. Not much more than that. Pretty much every time that we have a new president we could find a first about every one. No one is exactly the same so today shouldn't be any different than with any other new president.

uh... well I don't think it is really that big of a deal for me. But it would be if I was an African American. It just another president that we can make fun of and stuff.

There is nothing different about this president. He is just another president. It shouldn't matter what race you are and stuff. It shouldn't make a difference, he is still our president.

It is a very important thing even though he is technically the second black president it is still a very important thing and brady made a very racial comment.

i think that it is really cool that we have a black man ruling the nation now. I think that we have come really far as a nation. it will be interesting to see this black man reform the nation.

I dont think that it really matters. He is just another president. I dont think that he is going to do a very good job anyways. Its not really that big of a deal.

This is an ok occasion.... i agree with some people that this is a great day and a very special occasion, but i also agree with people saying that skin color shouldnt matter, because it shouldnt really....

I don't really care about having a new president, let alone the fact that he's black. I don't care about politics because i disagree with their views on how to make society better. They want to make us better but yet they keep us fighting in a pointless war now.
