A keystone species is a species whose presence and role within an ecosystem has a disproportionate effect on other organisms within the system. A keystone species is often a dominant predator whose removal allows a prey population to explode and often decreases overall diversity. Other kinds of keystone species are those, such as coral or beavers, that significantly alter the habitat around them and thus affect large numbers of other organisms.

A keystone species is a species that is critical to an ecosystem because the species affects the survival and number of many other species in its community. It helps to influence the area. Sea otters are an example of a keystone species.

Keystone species: a species whose presence in an ecosystems is neccessary becayse it affects the survival of many of the other species of plants or animals in the areal. It has a huge influence in the community. If it goes away, its prey's population explodes!!

A keystone species is a species that is critical to an ecosystem because the secies affects the survival and number of many other species in its community. That means that whatever the keystone species is, it will affect many other things. It will affect its own survival and the species around it. Also it will affect the community too.

A keystone species is a species that is critical to the functioning of the survival and abundance of many other species in its community. It means that without the keystone species many other species in an ecosystem would die too. An example of a keystone species would be a sea otter.

A keystone species is a species that is critical to an ecosystem because the species affects the survival and number of many other species in its community. This means that that species is very important. If it were to go away, other species would be effected and could have problems. It is needed to keep the ecosystem running.

Keystone species: a species that is critical to the functioning of the ecosystem in which it lives because affects the survival and abundance of many other species in its community. Ya thats out of the notes. Um an example is a sea otter. BOOM!

A keystone species is a species that is critical to an ecosystem because the species affects the survival and number of many other species in its community. They will affect a variety of species and some good examples would be grass, plants, and sea otters, etc. If plants were taken out of an ecosystem then there wouldn't be any plants to produce oxygen and it will be harder for the organisms to survive.

A keystone species is a species in an ecosystem that has a effect on another organism in the same ecosystem. What this means is that sea otters eat mussels which mutilpy quickly so they keep mussels from grwoing to much.
