Replacement parts

Why do animals replace parts such as a tail?? And why can't we do that? Hint look on page 227

animals use it as a defense mechanism. When they release their tail, the predator gets distracted because it wiggles and acts like it is alive. This is a very effective away when a predator is in hot pursuit with you to loose them and get away to safty. We cant to that because we dont have tails.

Animals replace parts like a tail because some use this as a defense mechanism. They do this to escape predators. Some lizards use this process by which an organism replaces or restores a lost or amputated body part called regeneration. This is caused by a series of rapid cell division. It would be cool if we could do this. Im not really sure why we cant?

They grow back tails b/c they keep their vital organs in their arms. They can regrow these parts by just having a fraction of the original arm. SOme is made of cartalage too, so it doesn't hurt at all either.

Animals replace parts like a tail because they are needed for them to live. An example is the starfish because they keep their vital organs in their arms. We do not do this because we do not have vital organs in our limbs.

Regeneration is th process by which an organism replaces a lost or amputated body part. A series of rapid cell divisions allows certain organisms to do this. Sea stars can do this because they have their vital organs in their arms. People do not. Also lizzards can grow back tails- but that is just cartilage not bone. So humans can grow back skin and stiff but not limbs.

They do this becuase it helps them survive becaue when a predator is in pursuit they will go after the tail, not the animal anymore. We cant because we have arms and legs and we will bleed to death.

They have that so when they are being chased they can drop the tail and then still contiune to keep on going. The tail then wiggles and they are able to escape. We cant do that because all of our body parts are made of bone.

Animals use losing their tails as a defense mechanism. to escape preditors. The broken piece breaks and wiggles which divers the attention of the predator while the actual animal escapes. We cant do this because #1 we dont have fails and #2 we cant replace our cells and stuff that quickly.

animals do have replacement parts which is called regeneration. Because the animals that lose certain parts may need them again for catching food or protecting themselves. We can't do that because our body doesn't have the extra things to make or regrow arms or legs.

They can release their tails and grow a new one because it is a defense mechanism that allows them to get away from predators. They are just diverting the predator and lets them escape. We don't have that because we don't really have tails or any parts that we could grow back. other than nails and hair.

Animals drop their tails as a defense mechanism when being chased by a predator. the tail wiggles & acts like a live animal so that the predator is distracted. humans can't do this b/c we don't keep our vital organs in our appendages such as the sea stars.

They use them as a defense mechanism. WE however do not have them because we are the most evolved and do not have use for such a device. WE do however have the capability of having a tail in some rare cases a human can have an extention of their tailbone. that is now their tail.. or sumthin like that

They can grow their tales back as a defense mechanism. They release their tail and then the broken piece of tail twists and wiggles which diverts the predators attention. While they are distracted it gives the lizard plenty of time to escape. We do not have tails so we cannot do this.

this is because the tails that they have are made up of cartiladge. we cant becasue we are made of bones and a little bit of cartiladge. be also cannot drop our butts of.

Animals like lizards shed their tails as a defense mechanism. They do it to allow them to escape from predators. Some sea stars can regenerate their whole bodies from one leg. THey can do this becaus they have all of their vital organs in one leg. We cant do this because we dont have our vital organs in our legs or arms. We cant regrow legs either but im not sure why. IM pretty sure we would bleed to death if we did.

They replace parts because they use it as a defense mechanism. They use the tail to fight off predators. They regenerate or regrow there tails. They have vital organs in their limbs and we don't so we don't regenerate.
