it is important to know your heredity because of health problems. if somone in your family has had something like cancer you have a higher chance of having it. if you know everything about your family history you can check for things that other family members have had.

If you are able to know what your heredity is then you will be able to find out the diferent kinds of diseases that might be common in your family. If your family has a high rate of cancer, than you are more likely to have cancer as well. If you know your heredity it can help you from getting diseases.

Knowing your heredity is very important, this is because then you know if you have any diseases or high risk chances that you could pass on to your children. If you know of any defects or mutations in your genes then if there is a way to cure it, so your children don't get that disease it's good to know your heredity.
